Q - How long is the journey to Malta?
A - This depends on various factors such as your departure point, the European gateway you use, and the connection time between flights etc. Typically, transatlantic flights from JFK, Newark or Washington take between 6 to 8 hours to get to Europe. Flights to Malta from London take about 3 hours and 20 minutes, from Frankfurt about 2 hours and 55 minutes, and from Rome 1 hour and 30 minutes. Connecting times vary at these gateway airports.

Q - How much free baggage am I allowed when flying between Malta and the USA on Air Malta flights?
A - Passengers travelling to/from Malta to/from the USA on Air Malta flights are entitled to one checked in bag not exceeding 23 kg and one carry-on not exceeding 8 kg. One laptop computer and one handbag may also be carried for free without incurring additional charges.
